CLARK & ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS INC. was founded in 2001 by Douglas A. Clark, AIA, NCARB after serving several years as an employee of Chicago design firms such as McClier, A. Epstein and Sons, and Raymond Professional Group. Mr. Clark is an Illinois native from an Oak Lawn construction family. He received a Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Architecture from the New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego, California, where he formerly served as an adjunct instructor to the executive masters program. He was also an adjunct faculty member at Judson College for master's level work.
CLARK & ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS INC. is comprised of a team of highly competent, independant professional architects, engineers, and designers, the sum of which enables the team to execute larger, more complex projects than each entity would be capable of accomplishing individually.
This strategic approach has the benefit of quicker response times and lower overhead than larger firms are capable of providing for similar sized projects. We can augment our staffing to accomplish projects up to several million dollars, and are still capable of delivering an attentive, one on one approach to design for clients whose projects are less than $200,000.00. As of November 2005, the team includes one licensed architect holding NCARB Certification and several state licenses, one structural engineer, one electrical engineer, one mechanical engineer, one award winning licensed interior designer, a construction manager/estimator with established subcontractors, and four drafts people with CADD skills and related professional degrees.

We also specialize in alternate project delivery methods such as design/build and assisting with fee based construction management and can explain the virtues of why these methods are quickly gaining preeminence in both the commercial and residential arenas of project delivery.
